For Homework i read and article about marketing to kids.  Not just teenagers but also kids 0-3 yeas old. I know 0 years old? In the first passage it said “Parents who sat their newborn babys in front of TVs hoping to make them geniuses only turn them into little consumers.” That is crazy deep man.

I really liked the second passage. It pretty much says how it is really the parents fault that the littler kids are getting more marketed to. For example with television. A quote from the second passage is, “The only thing they were getting was how to recognize characters.” she says. “It’s Dora. It”s Elmo. The only other scenario in which they”re going to encounter these characters is in a scenario in which that character is trying to sell them something. Like, backpacks, band-aids, toothbrushes.”

“Advertising and marketing is a factor in childhood obesity, in eating disorders, precocious, irresponsible sexuality, youth violence, underage drinking, and underage tobacco use.”

I have one question for you advertiser folk who advertise drinking and smoking to young children.
